EXCLUSIVE: Over 63 million incidents of fare evasion on the TfL rail network in 2023/24 financial year.
TfL Watch data suggests there were 63,460,000 incidents of recorded fare evasion* on TfL’s rail network in the financial year 2023/24, with less than 0.02% of fare evaders being convicted.**
Given the shocking inaction from TfL, it’s no surprise that our data shows that there were:

3 per second. ***
TfL announced they successfully convicted just 12,638 people for fare evasion in the same period, less than a 0.02% conviction rate.
